Blackstone the Magician #4

Identity: Known!

Claiming to be a psychiatrist Jonathan J. Littleton pays a visit to the Private Detective office of Mark Mason and reveals to Mason's secretary Louise Grant that he has deduced that she is really the Blonde Phantom. However, when she reacts with shocks, Littleton suddenly redacts his statement telling her that the real Blonde Phantom would not react that way.

Shortly after Littleton leaves there is a cry outside the office for help, prompting Louise to quickly change into the Blonde Phantom. She is almost caught changing by Mark who wonders why the Blonde Phantom has come to his office, and both go to investigate the cry for help, Mark thinking that Louise might be in trouble. Outside the office they find Jonathan Littleton, who tells the Blonde Phantom that her sudden appearance has confirmed her secret identity to him. He then explains that he is going to commit a series of robberies and if she goes after him, he will reveal her secret.

Completely oblivious to the fact that Louise Grant and Blonde Phantom are the same, Mark goes out looking for Louise, much to the delight of Blonde Phantom who realizes that Mark does care for her alter-ego. Blonde Phantom then chases after Littleton. When he attempts to rob a jewellery store, Blonde Phantom stops him, no matter the risk to his identity. When the police come to arrest Littleton, they inform the Blonde Phantom that he recently escaped from a mental institution. As he is being taken away Littleton tries to reveal Blonde Phantom's true identity, but nobody believes him.

With identity preserved, Blonde Phantom changes back into her alter-ego and returns to Mark Mason's office. There she finds Mark once more pining over the Blonde Phantom, much to her anger.
