Human Meteor

A gang of mobsters attack the local fruit exchange and the ensuing bloodbath draws in the police. Hearing of the conflict over his radio, taxi driver Duke O’Dawd decides to intervene as the Human Meteor, telling his boy sidekick Toby to stay behind because it could be dangerous. As the Human Meteor flies off, the young boy shrugs off the warning and decides to go anyway. Arriving at the scene, the Human Meteor learns what is going on by an FBI agent before launching himself at the mobsters. Although he is able to avoid their machine gun bullets, one of the mobsters manages to knock out the hero with a club, as wood is the Human Meteor’s one weakness.

Thankfully, Toby arrives on the scene and is able to revive his mentor by reactivating the power in his belt. The Meteor and Toby then fly after the escaping mobsters and arrive at a ship moored at the docks. Inside the boat, the hero clashes with more of the mobsters, who are working for some spies. Unfortunately, in the ensuing battle, the Human Meteor is knocked out again when he is struck over the head with the wooden stock of a rifle. The mobsters then tie the hero up and knock over a lantern in the hopes that a fire in the ship’s cargo hold will snuff out the hero. Luckily, the Human Meteor manages to get close enough to the ship’s hull and put his belt in contact with the metal, revitalizing himself and his powers. With Toby putting out the fire, the Human Meteor finds out why the mobsters were stealing the fruit. Smuggled inside is a bunch of film that was taken of the secret defenses along the Panama Canal, the point of origin of the fruit.

After quickly rounding up the mobsters, the Human Meteor and Toby then fly down to Panama where they smash up the spy ring. Confronting the leader, the Human Meteor gets some help from Toby. When the head of the spy ring threatens to throw a bottle of acid at the hero, Toby manages to bowl the spy over with a single punch causing the spy to slip and hit his head hard enough to get knocked out. With the spy operation smashed, the Human Meteor and Toby fly back to America where Toby still can’t believe he was able to knock out a spy with a single punch,
