The Spider-Queen

Shannon Kane is getting read for a date with Detective Mike O’Bell when he calls to cancel the evening. He tells her that a deranged killer known as the Noose has managed to break out of jail. Shannon understands and lets him get to it, however he won’t be doing it alone as she quickly changes into the Spider-Queen so she can hunt for the killer as well.

Meanwhile, the Noose pays a visit to the home of Judge Brindow, a man who helped put him in jail years earlier. He sneaks up on Brindow and puts a noose around his neck. However, before he can strangle his victim, the Noose is snared in a noose of his own and is pulled back. The Noose begs for his life prompting the Spider-Queen to spare him. She ties him up and then tries to call the police, but t he phone lines have been cut. She takes the judge and leaves to find a working telephone elsewhere. When Detective Mike O’Bell arrives on the scene the Noose has managed to escape. Finding webbing, O’Bell is furious that the Spider-Queen has gotten involved in one of his cases again.

The next day, the Noose hangs a woman he thinks is the Spider-Queen as a warning to the police to lay off. However, this is a case of mistaken identity as Shannon Kane is as shocked as everyone else when she hears the reports of the killing on the radio. Consumed with guilt, Shannon pays a visit to Mike O’Bell and insists that he show her the dead body. Seeing the dead woman is very upsetting to Shannon, but it makes her more determined to capture the Noose before he claims another victim.

Changing back into the Spider-Queen, Shannon goes to the scene of the crime and follows footprints to a nearby barn where she finds the Noose. Although she has the element of surprise, the Spider-Queen trips up when he foot goes through a rotted floorboard. Thankfully, Detective Mike O’Bell arrives to save the day. He fights the Noose off and slaps some handcuffs on the killer. However, during the struggle, the Spider-Queen has managed to escape. Later that day, Detective O’Bell pays a visit to Shannon Kane and tells her that the Spider-Queen is still alive and evaded capture again. Pretending to be frightened of her alter-ego, Shannon admits to Mike that she is glad to know that the Spider-Queen is still alive after all.
