Incredible Hulk #605

Banner and Son

A Gamma Dome is erected over New York City, while the Fantastic Four fight the beasts of Mole Man. Just then, Bruce Banner and Skaar teleport in to assist. The former quickly asks Mr. Fantastic about the details regarding the dome. Apparently, the dome doesn't have a radiation mitigation system and will kill anyone who attempts to pass through it.

Meanwhile, Skaar attempts to intimidate Mole Man and made him run away cowardly, but his foe attempts to explain something but is grabbed by the throat. However, the Thing prevents Skaar from killing him, pointing out the ravenous monsters around them. Mole Man then explains that when the Hulk returned to Earth and was defeated, his stone ship carrying countless alien monsters from Sakaar were unleashed onto the underground. However, he was able to tame them but the impatient creatures were actually waiting for Skaar. Skaar accepts their allegiance, only for the sudden appearance of Tyrannus to catch him off guard. Tyrannus contains himself and Skaar in a Gamma Dome, planning on killing Skaar to hurt Banner as he did once to him as the Hulk. Banner, while trying to hack his Deviant tech, sarcastically mocks him not to hurt Skaar, distracting Tyrannus to give Skaar an opening to kick him. Unfortunately, Tyrannus revealed that this fight was only a distraction for him to use the alien creatures, transforming into gigantic monsters by his tech, to destroy the city. As the Fantastic Four and Banner assist the innocent bystanders, while Skaar declares that he will be the one to kill these monsters. Very quickly, he kills all of them. Both Mole Man and Tyrannus decide to retreat back underground..

As the dome subsides, Mr. Fantastic asks Bruce if he allowed Tyrannus to gain access to the dome tech just to create another lesson for Skaar. However, his questions go unanswered, as Bruce goes to congratulate Skaar for making the right decision. However, his son states that what he did was typical of what he would do on Sakaar and the only thing he learned was that he is starting to hate his own father. Banner remarks "Thought we were further along than that." He tells Skaar to be ready, for the world is willing to meet their new Hulk. As he finishes his sentence, his eyes glow green.

Clash of Furies

In Badwater, CA, Lyra dodges Axon's electrical bolts, while asking Boudicca for tactical options. Unfortunately, her watch states that Axon is surrounded by a bioelectric field impenetrable to any strategy she can think of. Hearing this, Axon advises that Lyra listens. She demands Lyra's gamma sight, to help her fix her troubled mind, otherwise, she'll kill everyone in town. Reluctantly, despite Boudicca's protests, Lyra concedes, believing that Jennifer Walters would do just that. Axon then quickly absorbs all of Lyra's gamma energy, turning her human while making herself electrically green. Getting back on her feet, Lyra urges the townspeople to run, for they can't trust a madwoman who killed her own family. This enrages Axon, who attacks, only for her anger to cause her to weaken, which Lyra was counting on. Fighting back, she determines that Axon had post-traumatic stress disorder. As she recovers her powers, she is about to apprehend Axon when she spontaneously explodes. A Gamma Corps retrieval ship had remotely terminated her, as she had been seen, failed her mission and exceeded the elimination quotas; however, General Ryker is confident that they will have another opportunity.

The townspeople thank Lyra for saving them, believing that she killed Axon, but she denies it. When asked who she is, she replies that she's nobody.

Sometime later, Lyra has made it to the Gamma base in Death Valley but finds no evidence of Walters. However, Boudicca then detects someone. Next, an unseen voice offers a proposition for Lyra, someone she recognizes.
