Frontier Western #4

Man Trap!

Two bounty hunters spot the Ringo Kid heading to the town of Pilares with a posse of lawmen behind him. Thinking that the law is after the Kid and knowing they won't follow him into town because it's under the control of Shark Diston, they decide to follow after him and collect the bounty on the outlaw hero's head. Sure enough as soon as the Ringo Kid enters into Pilares, the lawmen stop in their tracks. Arriving in town, the Kid finds the streets erupting with violence and pushes his way through to the back alleys to visit his friend Don Miguel, who is helping him liberate the town. The Kid tells him to have the men willing to help meet him at the town jail near dusk to free the sheriff who has been locked up ever since Shark took over the town.

That night as the bounty hunters watched, the Ringo Kid meets up with the men and then sneaks into the jail. He knocks out the guard and frees Jim, the sheriff and all the innocent men that Diston has locked up in order to maintain control. They then rush the gambling hall where Diston and his men are gathered and the ambush goes off with a success. The Ringo Kid and the sheriff then ride out of town where the bounty hunters are waiting. Before the bounty hunters can get the drop on the Kid, the lawmen shoots the guns out of their hands. As it turns out the Ringo Kid was asked to assist them in cleaning up town. As the Kid leaves, his horse knocks the two bounty hunters backward into a cactus bush and the Kid tells the lawmen to leave the lowly bounty hunters there.
