Outlaw Kid #13

Flames Along the Border!

The Outlaw Kid is after Danny Lozar and his gang who are intent on fighting it out. When the Kid tries to get the drop on the outlaws, one gets the drop on him and knocks the Kid out. Danny and his men are prepared to deal with the Kid when suddenly the Calvary arrives forcing them to flee. The Kid is revived by the soldiers who tells the Kid that whenever they go after Lozar and his men they flee across the Mexican border where they cannot reach him. The Kid swears that Lozar will slip up eventually.

The Outlaw Kid returns to his alter-ego of Lance Temple and convinces his father that he is heading out two days to visit with his cousin. However instead he rides into Mexico and begins to hunt for Danny Lozar. Eventually Lance tracks down Lozar and his men, and while posing as a local taking a siesta he overhears them plotting to use a wagon filled with dynamite to blow open a bank and rob it. When they go off to complete this plot, Lance slips away and changes back into the Outlaw Kid and follows after them.

Waiting on the American side of the border, the Outlaw Kid waits for the wagon lugging the explosives to stop to rest. The Kid then drops on the outlaw, but his gun goes off attracting Lozar and his minions. When they arrive, the Outlaw Kid shoots at the wagon causing the explosives to go off, knocking Lozar and his men off the horse. Disorientated by the blast, they are easily over powered and turned over to the Calvary when they arrive.
