Spider-Man/Wolverine #3
Now
Peter Parker and Logan are being interrogated about their recent together. Their interrogator reminds Parker about what is at stake and insists that they continue on with their story, which left off when the pair arrived in France. Wolverine picks up the story where they left off….
Then
Peter Parker and Wolverine had arrived in Paris tracing a the signal found on a video camera in Japan that was recording Wolverine getting tortured by a drug lord. When they arrive at the address given to them by Reed Richards, Logan tells Peter that he’s going to go knocking on the door and hit whoever answers it and repeat as necessary. Peter is reluctant about going in without being in costume, prompting Logan to wish him luck finding a phone booth and heading in alone. Inside the house, Logan finds a secret lab. While outside, Peter finds a back alley to get change in when suddenly his spider-sense goes off warning him of a bomb that was planted inside the lab. Logan, on the other hand, becomes aware of the bomb as well thanks to his enhanced senses. That’s when Spider-Man came swinging in and pulled Wolverine to safety just as the bomb went off. As the pair recover from the blast, Logan picks up the scent of gasoline and returns the favor by shoving the web-slinger out of the way just as a speeding car hits him. The car sped off with Wolverine still on the hood, prompting the web-slinger to chase after it before Logan cuts the driver to ribbons.
Now
The interrogator pauses the narrative to ask how Wolverine could have survived being hit by a car. After a brief explanation of Wolverine’s mutant healing factor and adamantium skeleton, their story continues….
Then
By this point, Wolverine was gutting the underside of the car with his claws, cutting the brakes in the process. Crawling back up to the hood, Logan was shocked to discover that they were heading right for a parked fuel truck. As he made peace with himself, Logan and the driver of the car are surprised when Spider-Man swings by and uses all of his strength to yank the car off the road and out of the path of the fuel truck.
Now
Peter pauses to say that he doesn’t remember much after that because he blacked out from the strain but Wolverine says it was a less than graceful landing. They then move ahead in their story to when they were interrogating the man that had run Wolverine over…
Then
By the time Spider-Man has woken up, Logan has already gotten information out of the driver and is delighting in tormenting him but lets him go when Spider-Man asks what he’s doing. He then tells the wall-crawler that they’re heading to Switzerland next, hitting the web-slinger in the shoulder so hard he pops his dislocated shoulder back into place. Since this trip is taking a lot longer than planned, Peter has to make a quick call back in New York to convince the assistant vice-principal at the office that he’s down with the flu and won’t be in class on Monday, much to her irritation.[1] After this call, Logan and Peter compare notes and Logan finds it odd that the driver who ran him over wasn’t just any soldier, but an American. That’s when the X-Men’s Blackbird jet arrives to pick them up. Along the way, Logan has Peter put on a spare X-Men costume since they are better insulated than his Spider-Man costume, making it unsuitable for traveling in the Swiss Alps. As they arrive at their next location, Cyclops asks Logan if he needs some assistance, but Logan declines, saying that some things a man needs to do by himself.
Now
The interrogator interrupts their tale to point out that they are spinning quite the story. Peter tells them that he has all the splinters and frostbite to prove them. That’s when the interrogator makes mention of the fact that, for someone with a mutant healing factor, Logan has a lot of cuts and scars on his face. Logan assures them that they’ll get to that in a minute…
Then
Peter and Logan have moved in on a location where Logan is certain that the mountain and lake ahead of them is fake. As he tries to get Peter to see what he’s talking about he suddenly becomes aware of the fact that they aren’t alone. Suddenly, a number of soldiers in arctic gear pop out of the snow and surround them. The leader tells the pair that they are a thorn in his side and he has only one thing to say about that. The man lowers his hood and face mask revealing that he is none other than Nick Fury. Fury then pulls out a gun and shoots Wolverine in the face and asks Peter if he has any questions.
