Spider-Island: I Love New York City#1

Spider-Island continues from Venom (vol. 2) #6…

Tingling

With New Yorkers being infected with the so-called spider-plague, it was only a matter of time before crooks started taking advantage of their newfound spider-powers. A gang of crooks dressed as Spider-Man to rob a bank.

They easily web up everyone up and force themselves into the vault. They think they are invincible when suddenly they all start feeling sick for a bit. One of their members, a portly man named Gordo, leaves the vault to go throw up while the others try to make sense of what’s going on with them.

When it appears Gordo has come back they ask him if he feels the same buzzing in his skull like they do. “Gordo” says he doesn’t and pulls out a gun and shoots the other robbers in the head. It was actually the Punisher in disguise after killing Gordo and taking his place. Ripping off his Spider-Man costume, the Punisher calls them idiots for not realizing that they had a spider-sense warning them of danger.

Charlott’s Web

With New York City’s heroes busy stopping a riot of spider-powered crooks in Bryant Park, a pair of thieves take advantage of the situation by executing a home invasion.[1] After tying up the husband and wife that live there, the thieves begin trying to loot the place. What they don’t expect is that their daughter, Charlott, has gained spider-powers as well. The little girl uses them to give the crooks a good beating and leaves them webbed up for the police.

Once the cat finishes eating the fish it walks up the side of a building to watch the sunset from the rooftops.

There the cat sees its worst enemy, the Venom Pigeon, and changes into Spider-Cat. Just when it has Venom Pigeon on the ropes, the symbiote leaves and takes possession of an entire flock of pigeons that attack the Spider-Cat all at once. The cat suddenly wakes up in its owner’s apartment. His owner and his friends are playing video games. The cat realizes it was all a dream and leaps over to the window.
