Black Knight Primer
Series Overview
In a sea of horror/sci-fi anthology titles, romance comics, and westerns, Atlas Comics put out the Black Knight in 1955. The Black Knight followed the Sir Percy, aka the Black Knight. It was a story about knights in shining armor with superhero dynamics. The series ran for only five issues. It added the my of Camelot to the Marvel Universe. The Black Knight’s successor would become a stable of the Avengers in the modern age as is Morgan le Fay as a recurring villain.
The title also featured back-up stories about the Crusader, a Crusades era warrior that hasn’t appeared in anything since.
