Combat Kelly #43
Red Assault on Hill 313!
Baker Company is storming Hill 313 to force communist troops off the hill. The commander of the enemy troops however has other ideas, a 25 year veteran he orders his fellow troops to roll boulders down the hill to stop the advancement of American troops, but Baker Company takes cover behind trees to defend themselves and then they storm the top of the hill and win a fist fight against the communist forces, forcing them to retreat.
While the communist commander refuses to surrender he orders his troops to push forward using his knowledge of warfare. Meanwhile Baker Company digs in for the counter attack and they discover that beneath of the soil the ground is wet with clay. As the battle rages, Cookie uncovers an underground spring. With the enemy troops pushing forward, Combat comes up with a means to stop them: using the water and clay, they create a thick slick of clay down the side of the hill. The communist forces slip about in the clay and soon find their weapons jammed with wet clay. The commanding officer then orders his men to surrender completely amazed that in all his 25 years in combat he has not seen such a strategy used.
