Series Overview
Ringo Kid Western (and then simply RIngo Kid after issue #4) was yet another western created by Atlas Comics in the 50s. Pretty much every issue featured stories featuring the Ringo Kid. Issue #1 featured a backup story with Arrowhead and issue #2 also featured the Black RIder. From there the series only featured on-off western stories as backups. The series lasted 21 issues before being cancelled. Although the character never really saw his own solo revival, his Atlas era stories were reprinted in the 1970s in a new volume of Ringo Kid. The character still makes the odd appearances in the Marvel universe, usually in stories that involve modern age heroes travelling back in time to the days of the American Frontier.
