Secret Invasion: Home Invasion #7
Secret Invasion continues from Secret Invasion: Amazing Spider-Man #3….
In the midst of the Skrull invasion of New York,[1] Kinsey Walden has used reverse-engineered alien weapons to kill the Skrull that was posing as her brother, Hank. However, this came at the cost of her boyfriend, Ethan, who was killed by the monster. Professor Mustek, the scientist who worked with her brother confirms that the Skrull appears dead. Kinsey, whose entire teenage life has been ruined by these aliens refuses to let it end here and begins to range.
That’s when the heroes Sasquatch (Walter Langkowski) and Monica Rambeau arrive with some police officers to investigate the strange energy build up in the area. They order Kinsey to stand down and take off her wrist bands as owning them is breaking the Super Human Registration Act.[2] Kinsey refuses as she has been having a really bad day and want revenge. Monica manages to convince her to stand down at least so the NYPD can collect Ethan’s body and inform the next of kin. The cops also suggest she see a doctor for her injuries. Kinsey says that she will once she has found her brother. She can find him thanks to a tracking device given to her by Doctor Mustek.
At first, Monica and Sasquatch think she is too young to go after her brother. However, when they see that Kinsey isn’t going to be sidelined, they decide to tag along as back-up in case there is too many Skrulls for her to handle. The tracking device does its job, but when they arrive outside the building where Hank is being held, Monica decides that this is as far as Kinsey is going to go. She and Sasquatch then split up, with Rambeau entering the front in her light form to find Hank while Sasquatch enters through the sewers below.
While Monica easily defeats the Skrulls on the main floor, Sasquatch doesn’t fare well as he ends up being defeated by a Super Skrull that has adapted all the powers of the Great Beasts. While they are occupied, Kinsey sneaks inside and finds Monica. They both decide to go looking for Sasquatch. When they find him in the basement, Monica orders Kinsey to get Walter out of there because he has been injured while she deals with the Super Skrull. However, when the monster starts overpowering Monica, Kinsey uses her new wrist bands to slay the Skrull with ease.
As she tries to wake Langkowski up so they can continue the search for her brother, that’s when Hank Walden arrives and reveals himself and that he has been working with the Skrulls this entire time!

Continuity Notes
This story takes place during the Secret Invasion event. The primary tale is told in Secret Invasion #1-8, and the various crossover issues. See below for a full listing.
The SHRA was passed in Civil War #3 and it required all super-humans to register with the government. It will remain on the books until Siege #4.
Topical References
When making their plan to enter the building where the Skrulls have taken Hank, Monica refers to Sasquatch as a Wookie. These were hairy humanoid creatures from the Star Wars franchise. This wouldn’t be considered a topical reference as Star Wars and Marvel are both owned by Disney and would be an instance of brand synergy.
When ordered to go into the building through the sewers, Sasquatch complains that he’s not a Ninja Turtle. He is referring to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a media franchise that began as one of the most successful independent comic books of all time. The story centers around four turtles that were mutated into humanoid form and have been trained in the art of the ninja.
