Spider-Woman: Agent of S.W.O.R.D, Part Four
Brought to a Hydra facility in Madripoor, Jessica Drew is presented a Skrull prisoner by Madame Hydra. She offers Jessica the Skrull as an offering to entice her into re-joining Hydra. When the alien asks why God has forsaken him, Viper gets a good laugh at the idea of an alien from outer space believing in God. Jessica gets angry because even though Madame Hydra is utterly insane she keeps on being right, as it was a Skrull like this that stole her life.[1] Madame Hydra then wonders if Jessica ever saw a Skrull in their true form while she was in captivity. Jessica gets tired of heraring her talk and tells Viper to leave her alone in the cell with the Skrull spy.
When she asks for its name, the creature calls itself Pilli Natu. She quickly realizes that the reason why the Skrull is acting so compliant with her is because it thinks that she is one of them since her face was the face of the Skrull invasion of Earth. Even though this creature and its species almost enslaved the Earth, she can’t help but feel sorry for it. She asks it to tell her where she can find Koru Kaviti, but makes the mistake of telling the Skrull that she is not his queen it prompts Pilli Natu to grow in size as his hands begin crackling with energy.
The pair begin trading blows but Jessica refuses to surrender reminding herself that she’s been trained by Hydra and SHIELD, that she is a superhero and member of the Avengers, and now she is an agent of SWORD.
When Madame Hydra opens the cell door again, Jessica decides she wants no part of whatever Hydra is offering her and makes a run for it. As she leaps off the side of the building, Madame Hydra tells her operatives to find her and bring her back. It’s then that Jessica realizes that she isn’t wearing her costume with it’s gliding function and she can’t fly.

Continuity Notes
Jessica was replaced by the Skrull impostor during Giant-Size Spider-Woman #1. She was rescued and her impostor was killed during the course of Secret Invasion #1-8.
